Determined Admission Arrangements for September 2022

 

The staff, governing body and pupils of Ravenscroft Primary School would welcome you applying for a place at our school.  To do this you must follow the correct process for your child's age as detailed below.

Ravenscroft Primary School is part of The Boleyn Trust.  The Boleyn Trust have agreed to adopt the London Borough of Newham's Admission Arrangements for September 2022 to ensure continuity across the Borough.  For more information click on this link - Determined Admission Arrangements 

All applications for this school must be made through London Borough of Newham's Pupil Services, not through the school.

Reception Admission for September 2022 entry

 

In Newham, all children start Primary School (Reception) in the school year in which they have their 5th birthday.  For all children born from 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 inclusive, their parents/carers will need to apply for a Reception class place in an infant or primary school for September 2022 entry.

In the term before your child's admission is due, you will hear from Newham to let you know whether a place is available or not.  If you are offered a place, write or call to accept the place as soon as possible.  After this, the Education Department inform us and then we will contact you to arrange an admissions interview.

 

National closing date for on-time Reception applications: 15th January 2022

 

National offer date for on-time Reception applications: 19th April 2022

 

All Reception 2022 applications must be made through the family's home local authority.

For children living in Newham, families must apply via the London Borough of Newham.

For children living outside Newham, whose family wants them to attend this school, their application must be made through their home borough naming this school as a preference on their application.

Remember, parents/carers must apply for a Reception place in this school, even if the child:

  • attends our Nursery

OR

  •  has a brother or sister attending this school

 In-Year admissions into Primary School (aka mid term and mid phase)

 

If a family arrives in Newham during the school year 2021/2022 and their child needs a school place they must complete an In Year form naming their preferred schools.

The place offered may not be at the school the family prefers as that school may not have a suitable place available.

Moving from primary to secondary school in September 2022

Year 7 Admission for 2022

  

For all children born between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011 inclusive, their parents/carers will need to apply for a year 7 secondary school place for September 2022.

All  Year 7 applications must be made through the families home local authority.

 

National closing date for on-time Year 7 applications: 31st October 2021

 

National offer date for on-time Year 7 applications: 1st March 2022 

 

For children living in Newham, families must apply via London Borough of Newham.

For children living outside Newham, whose family wants them to attend a school in Newham, their application must be made through their home borough naming the preferred schools on their application.
