Chess is one of the oldest games in the world. It teaches strategic thinking, logic and it’s fun too!
The club is run by Chess in Schools and Communities, who believe that by introducing them to the game in schools, chess can improve children’s educational outcomes and help their social development.
Ravenscroft children who participate in chess benefit from a weekly visit from an experienced CSC tutor who has played in many international tournaments as well as being a FIDE Master since 1991. The children have the opportunity to learn chess strategies, tactics and rules as well as enter chess tournaments and participate in various events.
